The Editorial Guidelines require editorial staff and external contributors to disclose any personal, professional, political or financial conflict of interest that could affect their impartiality. Newsroom management may reassign the author or editor or change the way the subject is handled.
Yes
Business-related conflicts are addressed through the disclosure of professional and financial conflicts of interest, the organisational separation of editorial and commercial activities, and the clear labelling of commercial content. Advertisers have no influence over the selection of topics, interviews or editorial positions.
Yes
Editorial staff and external contributors are required to disclose political conflicts of interest. ParlamentníListy.cz does not endorse any political party or movement. Political advertising is clearly labelled, separated from editorial content and offered under equal rules regardless of political orientation.
Yes
Personal conflicts of interest that could affect impartiality must be disclosed to newsroom management. Where such a conflict is identified, management may change the author, editor or method used to cover the subject.
Yes
Editorial independence is protected through responsibility assigned to the editorial leadership, mandatory human editorial review before publication, the organisational separation of editorial and commercial operations, restrictions on advertiser influence, and procedures for disclosing and managing conflicts of interest. Content concerning current or former owners or their companies is accompanied by a transparency notice.
Yes
Editorial content follows a systematic process of content creation by the author, editorial review, any necessary verification or supplementation of sources, and final approval before publication. Every editorial article is reviewed by a human editor, who checks factual accuracy, comprehensibility, structure, context and compliance with the applicable editorial rules. Information that cannot be fully verified is identified as unverified, disputed or requiring further verification.
Yes
The Editorial Principles and Processes and the Editorial Code of Ethics apply to editorial staff, editors, external contributors and other persons involved in creating, editing, correcting or publishing content. Before publication, the approving editor checks compliance with these rules. Editorial changes are logged in the content management system, and the approving editor is responsible for the published editorial content.
Yes
Verification is integrated into the editorial workflow. Journalists and editors use relevant primary and secondary sources, seek confirmation from multiple independent sources where appropriate, attribute quotations and external material, and clearly identify information that could not be fully verified. Editorial oversight is exercised by the human editor who reviews and approves the article before publication. Legally or ethically sensitive matters may be escalated to editorial leadership.
Yes
ParlamentníListy.cz uses a recurring internal review mechanism to assess how editorial rules are applied in published content. A retrospective content-review tool is used by editorial management, complemented by a regular weekly review of published news content. The review assesses areas including sourcing, genre compliance, editorial and commercial separation, adequacy of headlines and framing, and the added value of original reporting. It identifies recurring issues, areas for improvement and, where relevant, authors requiring additional editorial guidance. The findings are used to define priorities for subsequent editorial work. The mechanism is still being further developed and refined.
Yes
ParlamentníListy.cz reviews its accountability mechanisms on an ongoing and recurring basis. Complaints, correction cases, data-protection requests, legal or regulatory changes and operational experience are assessed and, where appropriate, result in changes to procedures, public guidance, internal governance documents or technical tools. Governance documents are version-controlled and significant changes are recorded in their change histories. The Media Outlet also carries out regular monitoring of relevant legal, regulatory and media-sector developments to identify issues requiring changes to its accountability and compliance processes.
Yes
The Editorial Guidelines require facts and statistical information to be attributed to relevant sources and verified before publication. Statistical data, surveys and research findings are checked against the original or another reliable source. Relevant context, including the period, methodology, sample and material limitations, is provided where necessary to avoid a misleading interpretation.
Yes
The Editorial Guidelines require external photographs, video and audio material to be attributed to an identifiable source or provider and verified to an appropriate extent before publication. Verification may include the authenticity, origin, date, location and context of the material. Agency, licensed and other third-party material is attributed in accordance with the available information and applicable licensing terms. Material that cannot be fully verified is clearly identified as such or is not published.

The Editorial Guidelines describe the verification process for eyewitness and other externally supplied material. Depending on the nature of the material, verification may include the identity of the source, the origin of the material, the circumstances in which it was created, authenticity, date, location and relevant context. For material obtained from social media or other third parties, the original account or source is checked where appropriate. If the material cannot be sufficiently verified, it is either not published or the limitations of verification are clearly disclosed to the audience.

The Editorial Guidelines require externally supplied and eyewitness material to be appropriately attributed and labelled where its origin is relevant to the audience’s understanding. The article or the material itself may identify it as originating from an eyewitness, reader, external contributor, news agency, another media outlet or other provider. Where the provider’s identity is legitimately protected, the source may be described more generally in accordance with the Media Outlet’s source-protection rules. User-generated and curated content is also clearly distinguished from original editorial content.

Yes. ParlamentníListy.cz distinguishes news reporting from opinion-led content through visible genre labels, author attribution and publicly available genre definitions. Each editorial article is assigned a journalistic genre before publication. Opinion formats such as Commentary or Gloss are explicitly identified, while News, Analysis, Interview, Reportage and Monitoring have their own distinct genre labels. Opinions expressed by interviewees, quoted persons or monitored external sources are attributed to those sources and are not presented as the opinion of the newsroom.

ParlamentníListy.cz clearly distinguishes independent editorial journalism from commercial, sponsored, paid and commissioned content. Commercial content is published under a separate commercial designation and is visibly labelled as “Komerční článek” before the reader begins reading. The requirement applies regardless of URL, section, author or other genre designation. Independent editorial content is not provided for payment, and commercial relationships do not determine the content, headline, sourcing or publication decisions of independent newsroom journalism.

ParlamentníListy.cz clearly distinguishes independently produced newsroom journalism from content supplied by political actors, public authorities, companies, NGOs, users and other external non-journalistic sources. Depending on the publication model, externally supplied content is identified through a dedicated content type, source or author attribution and, where relevant, an explanation of the newsroom’s role. Curated “Politici voličům” content is identified as transferred content and linked to the original Profile PL author, while Profile-based user-generated content is explicitly distinguished from editorial content. External photographs, video, audio and eyewitness material are attributed to their provider where relevant to understanding their origin.
“Politici voličům” and Profile-based content are not classified as sponsored or paid content solely because they originate outside the newsroom. Their external or user-generated nature is disclosed through their dedicated publication and attribution model. External journalists and freelancers producing content under newsroom assignment and editorial control are governed by the editorial rules applicable to contributors.
