"Reporter" was founded in 2001 as a regional weekly print newspaper in Ivano-Frankivsk, Western Ukraine. In 2007, the media outlet launched its website (report.if.ua), developing both print and digital platforms simultaneously to reach a wider audience.
Over the years, it established itself as a leading and trusted source of local news, investigative journalism, and community-focused reporting in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The final print issue of the weekly newspaper was published on February 24, 2022. Due to the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, print operations were suspended, and "Reporter" successfully pivoted to become a fully digital news platform. Throughout its history, the outlet has maintained strict editorial independence, high ethical standards, and a deep connection with its community.

1. Mission & Vision:
"Reporter" is an online media outlet covering the most significant events in Ivano-Frankivsk and the region, focusing on active, conscious, and engaged citizens. Our goal is to be highly useful to our community - providing audience-centric news that helps readers make informed decisions, acquire new knowledge, and understand the context of regional developments.

2. Core Ethical Values:

Professional Integrity & Trust: We adhere to the Code of Ethics of Ukrainian Journalists, ensuring accuracy, credibility, completeness, balance of opinions, and a clear separation of facts from opinions.

Zero Tolerance for Covert Advertising (No "Dzhynsa"): Under no circumstances do we publish hidden advertising. All commercial content is strictly and transparently labeled as "On the Rights of Advertising".

Non-Discrimination & Inclusivity: We promote gender equality, diversity, and tolerance, ensuring equal treatment regardless of nationality, gender, race, religion, age, disability, or sexual orientation- both within our newsroom and in our coverage.

Solutions-Oriented Journalism: We focus on human-centric reporting that highlights social resilience, explains complex issues, and showcases ways to solve community problems.
