Giving it our best shot: What journalists can do to tackle COVID misinformation

In this video, a panel of experts consider the role of journalists in tackling disinformation, the communication of public health messages, and online fact-checking during this key phase of response to the Coronavirus pandemic. Chaired by James Ball, the panel included Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter, Marianna Spring, Nina Jankowicz, Anjana Ahuja and Kate Wilkinson. They explore what journalists should do to tackle Coronavirus misinformation, where such myths are coming from, and how reporters can avoid inadvertently becoming vectors for health misinformation. This is a video recording of an Ethical Journalism Network online panel discussion that took place on 27th January 2021.
